Challenge: Landefeld Druckluft und Hydraulik GmbH has established itself as a European market leader, with success built on unparalleled attention to detail and world-leading logistics, managing over 300,000 items in a fully automated high-bay warehouse. This outstanding operational excellence needed to be reflected in the digital customer experience to guide the B2B target audience – from engineers to purchasers – efficiently and intuitively through a complex product range. The central challenge was to design an online shop that not only showcased the enormous product variety and rapid delivery capability but also made the high level of management attention to every detail tangible in a seamless user experience, without compromising efficiency for professional users. Approach: To meet this challenge, Machbar adopted a comprehensive, user-centred approach, meticulously choreographing every potential click path in the online shop. This included intensive workshops with Landefeld experts from logistics, sales, and IT to gain a precise understanding of B2B customers' specific requirements and workflows. Based on these insights, detailed user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes were developed to ensure intuitive navigation, optimised search functions, and a smooth ordering process. Key strategic decisions involved aligning with Landefeld's internal systems and integrating the existing brand identity. Solution: As a concrete solution, Machbar delivered a comprehensive redesign and optimisation of the Landefeld online shop, encompassing an outstanding User Experience (UX) and a clear User Interface (UI). This included developing a modular design system for product lists, detail pages, and the checkout process to clearly present the vast product range and accelerate order processing. Specific deliverables included a revised navigation concept, a powerful filter search, intuitive product configurators, and an optimised display of technical data and availability, digitally reflecting Landefeld's commitment to precision and delivery capability.
